Wally enjoying a spin behind the wheel of a Krupp 1070 Dunerunner.. Holly, not so much.  Yes, we’ll get around to this kind of lunacy in the strip eventually.  Unfortunately, the hand-colored original doesn’t fare well under the unforgiving deconstructive glare of the scanner arm.  As always, this looks better in real life.  I’m currently considering ditching the colored pencils in favor of markers..

starting bid: $30

.. and here’s the print.  As always, hand-signed and $20 takes it away.  Contact me at for details.

While I’m here, I might as well announce these additions to the Endtown family of prints.  “Marx” and “Blackie Magic” scanned remarkably well for hand-colored art, but they’re pretty much the only ones.  “Home Sweet Home” is being added by request.  $20 each, or $16 plus $4 s/h if you order more than one.  Thanks, all, for helping to keep Endtown alive.

I’m looking forward to see in what context one of these turns up. Does this mean that the delightful duo will find themself sent topside for some purpose or another? Will this be a production vehicle of some sort or one of Doc Mallard’s creations? Enquiring minds want to know!!!

As the man who has two of your originals framed and hanging on my walls, I hope you don’t stop using colored pencils. There’s something wonderful in the way you were able to change shading in both “Black(ie) Magic” and “The Dutchess” and I’d hate to lose that just so pics would scan better.

Darwinskeeper, it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who prefers the coloured pencils. I’ve got a few pieces of artwork done in markers and they don’t seem to have the depth and shading intricacies that “Lure” has.

Aaron, please don’t change just for scanning. We all know they don’t scan very well and accept that as part of your wonderful work.

I’m upping my bid to $150. I really want to see this one hanging on my living room wall, and I haven’t figured out how to counter a last minute bid. Again $150.
